This is why SocialMedia platforms have chosen blue as the colour of choice in their logos.
Deeper blues reflect finance and power and uniforms. The darker the blue the less welcoming it becomes and wishes to place a distance between the user and the recipient. Banks and Police favour dark blues.
Research has shown that blue remains the most popular colour in the spectrum across all genders. But if you are depressed you are more likely to gravitate to darker blue tones, and as you get happier the lighter blues will become more attractive.
