Brand Tip 1: Brand Your Social Content
In business, colour makes a huge impact on your audience. Building brand consistency into your social posts, and how you show up online is all part of this.
Colour speaks a thousand words
Far faster than words, our subconscious brain picks up the colours we see and the inherent physical reactions that they trigger inside of us.
In your brand, have no more than 2 key colours that you use consistently in content posts.
If you have a brighter accent brand colour, then look out for props that reflect your business niche in this colour, from pens to mugs. These all add to your brand and can be used to great effect in your brand photos.
Use these colours to create graphics for testimonials, quotes, and image borders. All of these are visual cues that pull people towards your brand and recognise it in their feed.
Think about your brand neutral too - this does not need to be white! I have a cream as a neutral to reflect warmth and acceptance for my gentle yet firm guidance to business growth.
Knowing your brand colours and using them with consistency across all your content, from your website to downloads to social posts will support your goal of showing up like the Pro you are.
Brand Tip 2. The Brand of You
You are the most important asset in your business. And people want to see your face, especially your eyes. Our eyes are quoted as being the windows to our soul. They reflect our emotions, whether we mean to show them outwardly or not.
As such, it’s a basic human instinct to gain trust through eye contact, and showing your face online is part of this. As an introvert it can be easy to hide behind the misconception that we prefer to be hidden and unseen. But if you are a coach or course creator your people, your audience, your clients want to see you.
As a business owner you already have a personal brand, whether you have worked on it or not. Your brand is famously what people say about you when you are not in the room. Every time you show up, whether in content online or in person, every interaction builds towards your personal brand.
So take a moment to take control of the narrative, what do you want people to say about you when you are not there? Are you showing up and sharing your brand values and philosophies? These are a central pillar to how clients will be drawn to working with you over anyone else who serves a similar market.
Brand Tip 3: Frame Your Brand
All talk makes for dull content, we all love images and pictures to help us connect to a written story, and concepts are particularly hard to grasp when vocalised only.
To really connect with clients, create visual frameworks that illustrate what you do, and the journey you take your clients on. Let you clients visualise where they fit in with the services you offer.
Starting with creating client archetypes, that are focused on the 2 key areas of expertise that you support clients with, will help prospects self-identify with their struggles and desires.
As they feel seen and heard, that you have nailed them completely, then they will come knocking on your door for support as they see themselves clearly and recognise why they need you in their life.
