Clarity for the win

I've been pondering these 3 questions this week, and I'd like to share first thoughts with you here today:

  • What is clarity?
  • Why is clarity important?
  • How can clarity help you win?

1) What is clarity?

CLARITY noun - dictionary.com definition:

  1. clearness or lucidity as to perception or understanding; freedom from indistinctness or ambiguity.

In business, clarity can be a fickle beast to capture. It can slip away as fast as it's been discerned as well.  To be honest, it can be a moving target for a very long time.

As just when we feel we have clarity on who we are, what we serve and who for, external situations can change, our brain can get bored and we might just get distracted onto some new project.

So what is clarity - the dictionary definition is good - but I'd like to add that clarity does also one essential thing for us when it comes to our business... which is answered in the next question.

2) Why is clarity important?

Clarity is super important as it moves you from thinking into action.

Once you have clear sight of your goals, you know what to do, you stop thinking and start doing.

The real reason people sign up for expert advice is to get clarity, on the steps needed to reach the goals in their business.

But as mentioned in question one, clarity can be fleeting, one moment we are inspired and motivated... then the next, well we can get distracted and disjointed in the moving into action piece.

Clarity requires you to say no to some things as much as yes to others.

3) How can clarity help you win?

A top goal of any business owner is to be referred and recommended. And this can only happen when others have a clear picture of who you are and what you do for others.

People will buy a service just on a recommendation alone without even investigating your website that you have poured your heart into creating.

What I do: I'm Susanna Reay, an Authority Brand Architect. I distil your ideas and expertise into scalable offers to grow your authority brand.

Conversations with my Spark Space members this week has revolved around refining their messaging and their client focus, the right offers to have in their portfolio - or in other words gaining clarity.

This often means being prepared to step up, share and declare your values.

You must live your brand every time you show up.

People need to have a set image that they recall when they think of you and what you do.

Clarity wins when people hear of someone who is seeking to do something, solve a pain, and your name is the name they share in that moment.

Get known for one thing - and repeat that message A LOT. Far more than you even think is possible.

And the magic that happens is each time you talk about your ONE THING, you will be getting clearer and clearer on what you do, why you do, who you support and what the end goal is.

Top three outcome that those that work closely with me get: clarity, focus and structure.

If you are missing these in your business, you are missing a trick.

If you are not sure which you are missing- the Business Spark Scorecard will, in under 3 minutes provide you with a clear idea inside your bespoke report.

Clarity is the element of Connection - your messaging

Focus is the element of Content - your offer portfolio

Structure is the element of Container - your support systems.
